Quartz Slabs

Description

CIDG Egypt supplies quartz slabs in standard and jumbo formats for countertops, vanities, cladding and furniture. Quartz slabs are the large engineered sheets, made from roughly 90% ground natural quartz and resin, from which fabricators cut finished surfaces. Buying at slab level gives architects, contractors and stone workshops full control over yield, seams and edge details. We stock slabs in popular thicknesses and sizes, with consistent colour across batches so large projects keep a uniform look from the first slab to the last.

Quartz slab sizes and formats

Quartz slabs come in two main formats. Standard slabs typically measure around 3000 x 1400 mm, suitable for most kitchens and bathrooms. Jumbo slabs, around 3200 x 1600 mm, suit large islands, long worktop runs and full-height cladding where fewer seams are wanted. Slabs are produced in 2 cm and 3 cm thicknesses. Larger formats mean fewer joins on big projects, which improves the finished look and speeds up installation.

Quartz slab properties

The engineered makeup of quartz slabs delivers consistent quality across every sheet:

  • Non-porous: the resin binder seals the slab, so no sealing is needed after fabrication.
  • Consistent colour: slabs match within a batch, ideal for large, seamless installations.
  • Stain and scratch resistant: a dense, hard body that withstands fabrication and daily use.
  • Full-slab strength: reliable density throughout, unlike the natural variation in granite.
  • Fabricator friendly: cuts cleanly for countertops, cladding and furniture tops.

This consistency is what makes quartz easier to specify in bulk than natural marble.

Quartz slabs frequently asked questions

What size are quartz slabs?

Standard quartz slabs are around 3000 x 1400 mm, while jumbo slabs reach about 3200 x 1600 mm. Larger formats reduce the number of seams on big islands and long countertop runs, giving a cleaner finished look.

What thickness do quartz slabs come in?

Quartz slabs are usually produced in 2 cm and 3 cm thicknesses. A 2 cm slab suits lighter profiles and laminated edges, while 3 cm gives a solid worktop edge without building up the material.

Can I buy quartz slabs for my own fabricator?

Yes. We supply full quartz slabs to contractors, architects and stone workshops who handle their own cutting. Buying at slab level gives you control over yield, seam placement and edge details for your project.
